Frequently Asked Questions

Please email us at matt@alliancemedicareadvisors.com if you cannot find an answer to your question. We are here to help, and care about you and your access to information.

We are your one point of contact for all of your billing, cost, and benefits questions. We are the liaison between client and insurance company. Have a question about your bill? Prescription changed and looking to see if your new prescription is covered under your plan? Need a new doctor or a new wheelchair? We are available to you, and speak on your behalf to the insurance company to make sure that your needs are met, and that you feel taken care of.

Healthcare can feel like such an impersonal money-driven business. We are contracted through the insurance company, so we are free to you and committed to taking care of you. Unlike our competitors, we are contracted with every insurance provider in Kansas and Missouri meaning we are therefore unbiased in which plan you choose. Take your time, consider your options, and we will walk you through every step of the way. We care to know about your needs, so that we can find the solution that works best for YOU. We narrow down the 40+ options to 2 or 3 good choices that fit your needs for you to decide between. You deserve to make informed decisions regarding your medical coverage.

  1. Annual Election Period (AEP) – October 15th – December 7th
  2. Annual Disenrollment Period (ADP) – January 1st – February 14th
  3. Open Enrollment Period (OEP) – January 1st - March 31st
  4. Or a qualifying event such as turning 65 or retiring

YES! We value our clients, and will stick with you year after year. Needs can change a lot over a year. We will meet up again and go over the new needs and options. We aren't going anywhere.

You cannot have a supplement AND advantage plan, but don't worry we can help you decide what option is best for you. Here is some information to get you started: Medicare Supplement plans do not cover drug costs, or have Dental, Vision, or Hearing benefits. These plans are paid to private companies with a monthly premium.

Medicare Advantage Plans provide all of the benefits of Original Medicare and more, often including drug coverage. Medicare Advantage plans have a provider network with thousands of doctors to choose from. Most Advantage plans do not have a monthly premium - you only have a co-pay or co-insurance when you need care with an annual out-of-pocket maximum. This option has more out of pocket costs, but can be compounded with other plans to fit your individual needs such as Original Medicare and Premium Drug Plans.

But don't worry if that still seems confusing it's our job to explain all the nuances between the plans, and when we sit down together we will get to know you and your needs so that we can suggest the best possible plan for you.

Luckily, we do! Let us know, and we will contact your insurance company on your behalf and make sure everything is squared away for you. Changes of doctor can be stressful, we can help make sure your new physician is in network for your plan!

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for individuals 65+, or who have qualifying disabilities. These plans are managed by the federal government and cover hospital care, outpatient services, preventive care, and some prescription drugs.

Medicaid is a joint federal and state assistance program for low-income individuals and families of all ages. This program's eligibility is based on income and financial need, and often includes coverages such as long-term care which Medicare does not cover. Medicaid is usually low or no cost, but may include small co-payments. Medicaid can help cover Medicare costs for some eligible individuals as some may qualify for both programs.

MEDICARE CAN BE STRESS-FREE AND HASSEL-FREE!
